Each SkyHydrant unit can produce up to 10,000 litres or more of clean water, every day. That’s enough water for the essential domestic needs of 500–1000 people. It treats most non-saline surface and ground waters using chemical-free filtration. SkyJuice are the industry innovators of patented “Passive Membrane” Technology combined with “Shake ‘n Flush” cleaning.  This novel application of membrane technology is immanently suitable for low cost potable water applications. This means high-volume output  of SkyHydrant  units suits domestic and community use. It can be freestanding or wall-mounted. The unit can used standalone or configured into multi-unit banks to satisfy short- and long-term potable water needs.

The membrane pore size is .04 microns so it will filter out all biological pathogens and most viruses.

The filter is small enough to carry on an airplane for installation anywhere in the world.

The installation is simple and relies on gravity or a low pressure pump.  There are many ways to install the filter.  Go to the website and see many options for installation.  The simplest is to raise one tank 3 meters on a platform and have another tank 2 meters high.  Put the filter on the lower platform and pipe so the water is pumped into the top tank and gravity forces the unclean water through the filter and into the clean lower tank.  From the lower tank the clean water goes to ground level spigots where the people can get clean water.

Minimum pressure required is 2psi with a maximum pressure of 60psi

This unit is easily attached to your indoor plumbing and comes pre-constructed with an efficient PVC back-washing system. This system removes the harmful contaminants before it reaches your faucet allowing you to confidently use your faucet water for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and more.

The Sawyer Home Filtration Unit utilizes the Sawyer PointONE™ Filter with a 0.1 Micron Absolute Hollow Fiber Membrane. The Filtration System Exceeds EPA Standards for the removal Bacteria, Protozoa, and Cysts.

The included regulator allows you to safely clean the filter by backwashing it at an exact pressure.

Backwashing is not required often unless you are filtering very turbid water. Backwashing only takes a few seconds.

NO REPLACEMENT FILTERS OR CARTRIDGES ARE NECESSAR

The unit will only be sold to groups that have installation expertise and can show that they have the ability maintain the unit.  Properly maintained unit will have a life expectancy exceeding 10 years.
